  1. Hello! Love your videos, you have a lot of lovely Filofaxes! I love your red Amazonas; I would love one of those. I also have a teal Finchley like yours. Not sure if you remember but I said ages ago on Philofaxy that I was going to use it to set up my Happiness Project and you commented that you were too! Well, like you, I never got round to it! Must put that on my 'to do' list . . .

I really like the idea of hacking a Moleskine week with notes for a pocket. What size would fit a pocket Filofax? I don't know which one to get as I've never bought a Moleskine before. I currently use a compact Finsbury but I'm going to set up my pocket Chameleon (in raspberry) with a week plus notes to see if I can get on with it. I think it will be lighter in my bag. X

    1. Hi Lucy! I remember :D heehee :) I hope we both get to set our's up someday! The Moleskine pocket size will fit a pocket filo, but be warned, it literally comes right to the edges of the filo, so normal dividers/today rulers won't work, you'll have to make your own (quite easy, I did it myself last night), and the tabs might stick out of you filo a bit and may get a bit damaged, but I'm sure it will be fine if you take good care! Are you right or left-handed? The reason I ask is because I'm right-handed, and after I mocked up 1 week's worth of Moleskine's week with notes I found it very uncomfortable to write with because my hand kept on bumping onto the rings because the diary page is on the left. So I dissected another notebook (not a Moleskine, but exactly the same size) and made my own diary with the WO1P on the right, which is MUCH better for me!
I'll do a detailed blog post on my new set-up soon :)

  2. Thanks for the great videos - it's always reassuring to see someone else's collection (makes me feel less guilty about mine!). You're quite right about the personal Kendal - beautiful but laking in femininity for me too. I'm making it my travel binder - I think the memory quality of its leather would be great for that.

  3. Do you know, I never actually thought about how writing on the left side would affect me as I'm right handed. To be honest though, I'll probably have more to write on the 'notes' page than on the diary itself, so I'd have to give it a go and see. I might just try using a Filofax week on one page with notes and see how I get on first, before I start chopping up and destroying other diaries!

  4. LOL - you're so funny, Kate! I had no idea you had -that- many Filos! I liked "meeting" them. I'm still toying with the Moleskine/Filo hack, but for my personal needs for the next while, I'm also thinking about just sliding into a Moleskine notebook until things slow down a bit with work and I actually have a personal life again.
