I'm actually getting ready to sell my Filofaxes and Gillios, and settle into a very inexpensive but practical DayRunner zip binder as my wallet & planner. It has huge rings, and is everything I need. I don't need $300 Italian leather.....Songbirdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16510637565438065265noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2652601558452051227.post-84547966029104541152014-06-25T23:45:06.796+01:002014-06-25T23:45:06.796+01:00Great post Kate! I've decided not to buy one until I can decide whether a full size, a passport or a Field Notes size and whether a MTN or one of the (now) numerous "fauxdoris". If the latter, do you have closure elastic in the back or the spine? Do you go for pockets or add them later? etc. etc.Tim Edwardshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04320789185450598620noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2652601558452051227.post-44403081677134462662014-06-25T20:02:36.425+01:002014-06-25T20:02:36.425+01:00So true. I do love the simplicity of the MTN even if I am a FF person. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2652601558452051227.post-83427789005473378912014-06-25T10:36:31.197+01:002014-06-25T10:36:31.197+01:00love blog ^_^love blog ^_^Monia Marzohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14979980988849365368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2652601558452051227.post-84530320497396122502014-06-25T01:43:42.929+01:002014-06-25T01:43:42.929+01:00Great post Kate! I don't need any more than that and any others would be greedy and wasteful. I love the idea of just hacking what you need; just making sure it works is the important thing. I've bounced around from binder to binder and, while I like having many options for switching out (like having multiple purses, just basically a fashion thing), I have recently decided that I need to back away from the facebook groups. All these charms and tapes and pouches make the binder itself less functional, not more. Seeing everything just makes me want to buy stuff, when I don't need or even honestly want it. I'm tired of buying more crap! As you said the Midori TN is so simple in structure that the external choices are limited and you just make it work for you via the internal choices you CAN make.
